Valeria Diaz Moreno

Graduate Student

Val graduated with honors from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2026 with a B.S. in Physics and Data Science. She conducted her undergraduate research under Professor Maxim Vavilov, where she worked on theoretical condensed matter. Her worked focused on offering a scalability perspective to multi-fluxonium chains for high-fidelity CNOT gates utilizing various frequency configurations. As an NSF Fellow and member of the ALMA lab, Val is interested in using giant atoms to aid the remote entanglement of qubits in different quantum processing units.
