ALMA installs first dilution refrigerator

ALMA Lab has installed its first dilution refrigerator! Meet BF-Roebling, named after Emily Warren Roebling, the pioneering civil engineer who led the project to build the Brooklyn Bridge to completion. As we build our experimental home at NYU Tandon, BF-Roebling will provide the ultracold 10 mK environment needed for our superconducting quantum devices. We're excited to get cold—and start building quantum bridges (interconnects)!
